This is will be the second session of LAMS Reading the Mycoverse in discussing Merlin Sheldrake's Entangled Life! In this session we will be focusing our discussion Chapters 5-8 and the epilogue (pages 123-225).
If you missed the first two sessions no worries, come and join to discuss the book in its entirety!
What is Reading the Mycoverse you ask?
Reading the Mycoverse is a fungi focused reading group through the Los Angeles Mycological Society. There have been a number of excellent books, articles, podcasts, movies and other media related to mycology published over the recent years and we are forming a group to collectively discuss and learn together about the fascinating world of fungi.
Discussing: Merlin Sheldrake's Entangled Life
We are beginning Reading the Mycoverse with Merlin Sheldrake's international bestseller Entangled Life. As the American mycologist Paul Stamets remarks:
“True to his name, Merlin takes us on a magical journey deep into the roots of Nature — the mycelial universe that exists under every footstep we take in life. Merlin is an expert storyteller, weaving the tale of our co-evolution with fungi into a scientific adventure. Entangled Life is a must read.”

It's an accessible read for all those interested in mycology (the audiobook edition is read by the author, and is highly recommended!).
Okay, I'm in, where will we be discussing?
Recommended to bring something to sit on as we will be discussing picnic style outdoors at Griffith Park's Bette Davis Picnic Area. We will be practicing social distancing as well. See you soon!
