TREEmendous Lawndale is an effort to double the tree canopy in North Lawndale over the next 10 years. Join us to find why.
GROWSS (Green, Open Space, Water, Soil, and Sustainability), a committee of the North Lawndale Community Coordinating Council (NLCCC) is sponsoring an all-ages field trip to the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois. The Morton Arboretum’s mission is to collect and study trees, shrubs, and other plants from around the world and to display them across naturally beautiful landscapes for people to study and enjoy. While visiting the arboretum, we will meet with a tree expert then walk and drive the grounds to take in the glorious trees.
