Get to know other local single moms while you take a well-deserved break! Get to know other local single moms while you "refill your cup". Our Mom's Day or Night Out events are opportunities to get together with women of similar circumstances and share new experiences. Inexpensive, quality childcare is always available during these events, but it fills quickly, so register as soon as you know FOR SURE that you can attend. For August's Mom's DAY Out, we will enjoy lunch at Monk's Cellar in Downtown Roseville. Monk's has brought a little bit of Belgium to the West Coast, with a homegrown, community-focused brewery, restaurant, and bar that serves fine artisanal beer, creative seasonal dishes, and inspired cocktails. Like the Monks of old, our team has created an atmosphere where you can relax, reflect and respect the finer things of life: friendships, fine beer and great food. Your ticket includes lunch and one beverage. THE FINE PRINT: Group size will be limited. Attendees must sign a COVID liability waiver and understand that they attend at their own risk. We will meet at the Empowerment Center and carpool. If you are utilizing childcare, you MUST arrive no later than 11:40 to check (pre-registered) children in to childcare. (Children will be served lunch, so please feed them breakfast prior to drop off.) We will leave the center promptly at 11:45. IF YOU ARE NOT PRESENT AT 11:45, YOUR SEAT WILL BE FORFEITED and given to a wait list participant. Wait list ticket purchasers will be refunded if space does not come available. Regular tickets are non-refundable. We are so excited to connect with our village again! See you soon! Statistics shows that children of single mothers suffer in a variety of ways and the mothers often find themselves living in poverty and riddled with guilt or frustration. But, we are here to change the statistics.  We believe that single mothers and their children do not have to be negatively impacted by this circumstance. In fact, being "single-mom-strong: having grit and determination; refusing to fail", is not detrimental at all... Single Mom Strong exists for the empowerment of single mothers and their children through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.  Funds raised are used to advance our mission. It is the mission of Single Mom Strong to create a community of single mothers and children in support of one another, while empowering them to be their best selves, through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.
