A distant cousin of their Farmstock and Homestock varietals, the Roadstock Rye traveled some 6,000-miles across America experiencing wild temperature, elevation and climate changes playing with the Rye in unique ways. From Vermont to Paso Robles and back again, we hope you’ll experience all the flavors of this 86-proof, hand-crafted stunner - a symphony of raspberry jam, brown sugar, and toasted cedar. 20 tickets available. A “Taste of Mexico” ticket gets you a one-of-a-kind experience with Whistlepig’s next three bottles in their Sasquatch series. Each ticket gets you a limited edition, one-of-kind personal tasting of these special bottles lead by a representative from Whistlepig. Sasquatch Sighting #6 — Sur a Oaxaca spent several months maturing in Mezcal barrels plucked from the highlands of Tlacolula, Mexico. As a result it accumulated not just taste, but terroir. Pouring from the bottle is a devilishly alluring rye, combining the spice of the grain with a vegetal earthiness. It’s deceptively mellow on the palate. Nevertheless it manages to tickle the tongue with notes of over-ripened citrus notes before fading back to a finish of creme brûlée crust. Sasquatch Sighting #7 — Norte a Durango is a sipping rye in a category all its own. Barrels are seldom seen in the world of Sotol, so securing them as a finishing element for our rye was no easy task. It was obviously worth the effort as evidenced by the sharp, herbal notes that emerge in this whiskey’s nose, followed by the generous black pepper and powdery cardamon that resolve with purpose across the palate. Stay alert during the finish for a subtle callout to freshly-harvested grain. Sasquatch Sighting #8 — Oeste a Baja. To craft this multi-faceted gem we got our hands on a unique set of casks seasoned by both Mexican pilsner and Mezcal. The prolonged journey of these barrels is re-created atop your tastebuds. Hefty notes of clove and candied ginger in the nose hint at baking spice beneath. And yes, it’s there for the sipping…But you’re not gonna believe the brown sugar blast that’s in store for you here. Alas, as compelling as that core note is, it doesn’t last long, eventually surrendering to an earthier, agave syrup sweetness at the end of each sip. 12 tickets available.
