Description
Learn the fundamentals of proper knife technique, and enjoy a gourmet ramen noodle bowl in this hands on cooking class. We are excited to announce that in person cooking classes are returning to Mountain Harvest Kitchen! Join interim kitchen director Drew Sharkey for an evening of knife skills instruction for any skill level. The class will cover the foundations of classical French knife skills, safety, and a variety of knife cuts. A knife is a chef’s most important tool in the kitchen, and a solid understanding of proper technique is a great way to take your cooking to the next level. In this class you will get a chance to learn how to safely and efficiently handle a chef knife, while gaining the crucial early building blocks to produce consistent cuts. Once we move through the various cuts we will use the ingredients we prepare to make vegetarian ramen noodle bowls for the participants. This class will be hands on, and each participant will receive a packet with all of the recipes needed to recreate a gourmet ramen dinner at home. Everything including ingredients, aprons, knives, and cutting boards will be provided by Mountain Harvest Kitchen, but you are welcome to bring a knife from home. Please wear comfortable closed toed shoes, and a hat or hair tie. We will be standing and working for most of the class, however stools are available. The class will run from 6:00pm-aprox. 8:30pm, and tickets are $40/person.
