Location: Fremont, CA Status: Full time Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000/year Benefits: Health insurance, 401(k) plan with employer matching, FSA & Dependent Care plan, Paid vacation, Monthly Phone reimbursement and Mileage reimbursement. Job Description Run all aspects of small farm, including crop rotation, soil amendment, irrigation, pest control and harvesting Operate rototiller and other farm equipment Perform supply & inventory purchasing and management Schedule/Manage 1-2 part-time farmers assigned to site. Schedule visits/work packages with Farmscape arborists for tree trimming, amendment, etc. Manage the farm facilities, including barn, hoophouse and wash station, coolers, plus any additional sites added to the contract by HOA. Create appropriate work plans for volunteers. Manage the annual budget, reporting to Farmscape Principal and HOA. Attend all meetings required by client (HOA) and Farmscape. Identify opportunities for improved volunteer experience. Resolve customer service concerns raised by residents. Additional responsibilities, as assigned by supervisor. Requirements 2 years in a leadership position at a farm of similar size Ability to perform manual work, lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to use various apps and technology Able to lift 75 pounds Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Strong interpersonal skills Organized individual with the ability to multitask Basic Computer skills - comfortable with Google Drive
