OPEN POSITION Silver Oak & Twomey Cellars is recruiting for a Full Time Shipping & Receiving Clerk II, to join our team, reporting to our Shipping & Receiving Manager. This position is regular full-time, benefit eligible. This is an hourly, non-exempt position that is based in Healdsburg, CA. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Processes all in and outbound shipments including but not limited to sorting, logging, delivering, packing, and shipping. • Audits each shipment prior to packing to ensure that goods match order. • Ensures that proper equipment, manuals, and accessories are shipped with correct order. • Packs and labels product based on established standards. • Is responsible for taking the lead on special projects when assigned by manager. • Is responsible for helping with the end of day wine pull. • Assists with accurate inventory of wines and merchandise. • Works with Admin staff in OV to assure wine is signed & returned in a timely manner and as necessary. • Is responsible for communicating any packaging and shipment delays with Customer Care. • Responsible for taking care of daily orders changes from Customer Care. • Assists with end of day invoice processing when necessary. • Responsible for checking in all the returns and providing correct paperwork. • Inspects all incoming freight for damage; follows-up with informing supervisor of any damaged freight issues. • Serves as back-up driver for Transportation position as needed. • Maintains safety and housekeeping standards in shipping area. • Maintains professional and constant communication with supervisor, colleagues, and vendors. • Promotes a safe workplace. • Provides support to all departmental staff. • Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: • One year minimum of related experience. • Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. • Driver’s License and clean DMV record. • Experience with driving forklift & Scissor lift preferred. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Ability to manage a small group of people for special projects. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. • Ability to manage priorities and workflow. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. • Acute attention to detail. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. • Commitment to excellence and high standards. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following: • Lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance. • Climb a ladder to a height of at least 20 feet. • Wear appropriate safety equipment. • Carry pallets, climb on storage racks above 20 feet to organize or retrieve supplies or merchandise. • Ability to logistically manage and fit everything in the warehouse with commonly used items accessible to employees with limited abilities. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • A large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures are cool (55 degrees) and noise level can be moderate to high. • Can be dusty and dirty, with spiders, mice, and other visitors from time to time. • Busy and distractive open office atmosphere.
