We are a busy European automotive repair facility in the mission district Hiring a Shop Porter/Helper Job Overview The shop helper is responsible for cleaning and moving vehicles, shop and lot cleanup, light maintenance, and assisting in the preparation of vehicles for service work. Tues - Friday 7am - 6pm Qualifications At least one year of related experience Ability to understand and follow directions General mechanical / handy skills Valid CA drivers license and clean driving record Ability to drive vehicles with a manual transmission Knowledge of car repair is plus but not required Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position and may require some or all of the following: Lifting 10 to 70 pounds, Stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders Standing 6 to 8 hours per day, walking 4-6 miles per day in the course of completing job responsibilities Exposure to inclement weather Exposure to noise, vibration, dust and exhaust fumes.
