Venus is a 2-year-old purebred Border Collie who weighs approximately 30.4 lbs. This classic beauty is looking for an active family who is seeking a sweet dog with lots of love to give. Once she trusts you, Venus is a loyal, warm companion. She is good with dogs and kids. This super sweet girl starts out a little shy and easily startled but slowly becomes more comfortable. Though she spent the first bit of time in her foster home hiding in the hallway, she now hangs out happily with her foster family. She’s a gentle, loving pup. She’s more interested in people than toys. Currently, Venus is being fostered with a 9-year-old lab. They are growing on each other and getting along well. She does well in her crate and sleeps there overnight with the door open. She’s well behaved too; no nuisance chewing, digging, or barking for this girl! She generally does well on leash, though she can zig-zag and need redirection. Venus’s ideal home is an active one that is excited to train her and work with her to gain confidence. Venus is only an option for homes that have had a dog of their own in the last five years. If there are any children in the home they need to be over the age of eight.
