In celebration of Black Breastfeeding Week 2021, join your favorite doula tribe for a family centered cookout celebrating you! We are ecstatic to bring back our city's first and only Black Breastfeeding Week celebration, The 2nd Annual Black Breastfeeding Cookout sponsored by The Lactation Network, Nano Bebe and Glow Birth and Body. Breastfeeding is a communal practice and that means we can't do it without the support of the entire village. We want to celebrate you, your village and our citywide breastfeeding community this year. Join us for a family centered day of food, music, breastfeeding activties, giveaways and more! You'll have access to community resources, vendors, lactation professionals, birthworkers and some of the top breastfeeding and mama baby brands from across the city and across the nation. Bring your blanket, your chairs, and your favorite side dish to share. (All shareable sides should be unopened, pre-packaged and/or store bought) Registration is not required but is highly encouraged as food will be available for all attendees. Please complete registration for each indiviudal in your family. (ex. Family of 5 should register for 5 free tickets) This event is free to the public and welcomes folks of all ages! We are a tribe of birthworkers committed to improving pregancy and birth outcomes for families and mamas of color in Chicago and across the country. Our collective provides a wide range of services from culturally competent doula support to massage therapy and beauty services all focused on creating the birth our families deserve and desire!
