So far, an estimated 164,446,964 Americans have been fully vaccinated, or 50.3% of the U.S. population. So far, states have largely managed their own vaccination coordination efforts — and some have proven more effective than others. In Massachusetts, 63.8% of the population are fully vaccinated, higher than the U.S. average. As of July 30, Massachusetts has received about 10,011,300 vaccinations and administered about 91.3% of those doses. Meanwhile, the virus continues to spread. In total, there have been 717,944 confirmed cases of the virus in Massachusetts as of July 30 — or 10,402 for every 100,000 people.
