So far, an estimated 164,446,964 Americans have been fully vaccinated, or 50.3% of the U.S. population. So far, states have largely managed their own vaccination coordination efforts — and some have proven more effective than others. In New Mexico, 57.2% of the population are fully vaccinated, higher than the U.S. average. Meanwhile, the virus continues to spread. In total, there have been 209,684 confirmed cases of the virus in New Mexico as of July 30 — or 10,007 for every 100,000 people.
