Summit Residents May Have To Move Cars During Road Paving

SUMMIT, NJ — The city of Summit Department of Community Services scheduled its annual road micro-paving program for this Wednesday and Thursday. Access to driveways is prohibited until the asphalt application is completely dry. Residents are asked to park vehicles on neighboring side streets before 7 a.m. Emergency vehicles have access at all times. Street schedules are subject to change. Trash and recycling pick up is scheduled to occur prior to the start of micro-paving. This was the tentative schedule for the current week: Wednesday, Aug. 4: Blackburn Place Beekman Terrace Cedar Street Kenneth Court Brainerd Road Fay Place Iris Road Thursday, Aug. 5: Edgewood Road Ruthven Place Glen Oaks Ave Edgewood Drive Edgewood Road North Street John Street South Street For more information, contact the Department of Community Services at 908-273-6404.
