MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Hello neighbors! Welcome to our events roundup, where we tell you about what's happening in Mercer County this week. Here's are some events we think you might enjoy: Drive-In Movie, CURE Insurance Arena: This Friday and Saturday, enjoy a movie from the comfort of our car. The movies will be screened at the CURE Insurance Arena parking lot from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6 and Saturday, Aug. 7. Parking and admission are free. Gates for both events will open at 7:30 p.m. Attendees will have the option to set up their blankets and chairs outside of their cars. On Friday, 'Tenet' will be screened and on Saturday, August 7 the movie for the evening will be 'A League Of Their Own.' For any questions or information, call (609) 443-8560. Watershed Butterfly Festival, Watershed Institute, Pennington: The 21st annual Watershed Butterfly Festival will be held on Saturday, Aug. The in-person celebration will feature tours of the Kate Gorrie Butterfly House, and the Insect Zoo. Enjoy music and live entertainment by the Trenton Circus Squad and Eyes of the Wild (an exotic animal rescue show). There will also be a "Butterfly and Bug Parade" and attendees can learn about watersheds and the need to protect rivers, lakes, and streams through educational hands-on exhibits. Food and drink will be available for sale. Visitors can also purchase butterfly wings and other fun items at the Watershed Nature Shop. Dogs are not permitted at the event. Advance registration is required to attend the festival this year. Due to Covid-19, space at the Butterfly Festival will be limited to 250 persons per session. Click here to register. Just Peachy Festival, Terhune Orchard, Princeton: Celebrate the annual Just Peachy Festival on August 7 & 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The weekend will include pony rides, games and barnyard fun. Visitors can also pick their own peaches on Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. The peach orchard is located across the street from the farm store at 330 Cold Soil Road. No admission fee is required for the peach orchard. For more details on the event, click here. Concert At Etra Park Lake, East Windsor: On Sunday, August 8 at 6 p.m., New York City-based tribute band AM Gold will be performing adult-contemporary hit songs from the late 1970s through the mid-1980s. Artists include Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Huey Lewis, Christopher Cross, and Lionel Richie. The events are free. Call the East Windsor Information Hotline at (609) 443-4000, ext. 400 after 1 p.m. on the day of the event, in case of rain or inclement weather. Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, Community Park North Amphitheater: Hudson Shakespeare Company will stage the romantic comedy 'Twelfth Night' at the Community Park North Amphitheater on Sunday, Aug. 8, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The show features a five-person cast and live music. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Jon Ciccarelli, The Hudson Shakespeare Company is known for utilizing some of the best young and experienced actors, directors, and crew from the tri-state area.
