All individuals arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. REPORTS BRANDISHING, 2021-07290161, 800 block of S. Frederick Street. At approximately 5:06 p.m. on July 29, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined that a verbal dispute ensued between the male victim and known male suspect. The female victim observed the dispute and attempted to intervene. The suspect then allegedly went back to his vehicle to retrieve what was later determined to be a BB gun and made verbal threats to the male and female victims before fleeing the scene. During the course of the investigation, officers located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, in which the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Jason Deleon-Gonzalez, 21, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Brandishing a Firearm (x2). He was held on no bond. BRANDISHING, 2021-07310255, 1800 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 10:45 p.m. on July 31, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the known female suspect and male victim had been involved in a verbal dispute, when the suspect allegedly sprayed the victim with pepper spray and brandished a firearm. The investigation revealed that the suspect and a witness fled the area and attempted to conceal the firearm in the mailbox of a neighboring building and later returned to the original location of the incident. During the course of the investigation, officers recovered the firearm and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Michelle Johnson, 23, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Brandishing a Firearm and Malicious/Unlawful Bodily Injury by Caustic Substance. She was held on no bond. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2021-07290227, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 10:50 p.m. on July 29, police were dispatched to the report of threats. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male victim was in the area when he was approached by the two known male suspects who began throwing rocks at him. The suspects then demanded that the victim give them money and fled the scene on foot when the victim confronted them. Suspect One is described as a White male with a thin build, approximately 19 years old, 5'10" tall with dark hair, a goatee and mustache, wearing a black backpack. Suspect Two is described as a White male with a thin build, approximately 18 years old, 5'5" tall with blond hair, wearing a black backpack. The investigation is ongoing. ROBBERY, 2021-07300133, 6200 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 3:32 p.m. on July 30, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male victim was walking towards the back of his residence when he noticed the unknown male suspect standing in front of his shed. The victim confronted the suspect and he picked up the victim's tool box and attempted to leave the area. The victim grabbed the suspect in an attempt to prevent him from leaving and a physical altercation ensued, during which the suspect struck the victim multiple times. The victim then fell to the ground and the suspect fled the scene on his bicycle. The victim sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and refused the treatment of medics. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 40 to 50 years old, 5'6" tall, 150 to 180 pounds, wearing all black clothing and a black hat. The investigation is ongoing. ROBBERY, 2021-07310275, 200 block of N. Fillmore Street At approximately 11:50 p.m. on July 31, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that a cab was dropping off passengers when two dark colored SUV's pulled up and blocked in the cab. A male suspect then approached the rear passenger side door, brandished a firearm and demanded money. The suspect stole wallets and a cell phone from the victims before fleeing the scene. The suspect is described as a Black male in his early 20's, approximately 5'6" tall, with a skinny build. He was wearing a black mask, white tank top and dark colored pants.
