NOVATO, CA — A Marin wine company has been sold to a storied Argentinian firm that traces its roots to the 19th century, The North Bay Business Journal reports.
WX Brands was founded in 1999 as a winery exchange and the Novato-based company within five years launched its own brands.
The company was sold to Terold, which originated in 1888, the report said.
WX Brands will continue to operate as a separate company, the report said.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed according to the report.
WX Brands has a portfolio of 11 national brands and 43 "exclusive" brands with an annual case production of 2.3 million, an industry trade publication reported earlier this year.
