Description

MARIN COUNTY, CA — All adults will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test in Marin public school setting at the start of the school year, the county's top educational administrator told KTVU. The new policy will apply to all educators and staff, Supt. Mary Jane Burke told the television station. The move comes amid a delta-variant fueled coronavirus case surge that has impacted most of the Bay Area including heavily vaccinated Marin. Marin on Monday joined six other Bay Area counties and the city of Berkeley in enacting a new mask mandate. Marin earlier this year was ranked the nation's most vaccinated county according to a San Francisco Chronicle report. As of Wednesday afternoon, 93.6 percent of county's eligible population 12 years of age and older have received at least one does of the vaccine and 86.6 percent have completed their vaccine series according to Marin's vaccine dashboard. California residents can find a vaccination clinic by visiting here. Read more at KTVU
