AUSTIN, TX — The Contemporary Austin - Jones Center will offer free admission for a week during Aug. 9-15, authorities said.
The free week will give Austinites a chance to beat the heat and see artwork that will be on its way out, officials said.
The Contemporary Austin - Jones Center, which is located on 700 Congress Avenue, will be open from noon to 5 p.m. daily during the week of free admission. (Courtesy of The Contemporary Austin)The opportunities includes a chance to view Deborah Robert's poignant critiques of contemporary society through the lens of Black children and Torbjørn Rødland's "masterfully surreal" photographs and videos in the heart of downtown Austin.
The Contemporary Austin - Jones Center, which is located on 700 Congress Avenue, will be open from noon to 5 p.m. daily during the week of free admission.
The week-long event will require advance reservations. Guests can register for a timed ticket at the center's website.
