PITTSBURGH, PA — With Allegheny County still in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's substantial coronavirus transmission category, expect to see masks requested or required at many places you frequent - regardless of whether you are fully vaccinated.
Here's a roundup of places that recently have revised their mask policies:
Giant Eagle, Market District, GetGo stores: All employees are required to wear a mask, cloth face covering or face shield. Customers are "strongly encouraged" to wear them starting Friday. PPG Paints Arena: Recommending that all guests wear masks. The policy went into effect Tuesday night for those attending the James Taylor and Jackson Browne concert. Kennywood and Sandcastle: The West Mifflin amusement park and West Homestead water park are asking all guests and employees to wear masks in indoor areas of the parks. Target: Requiring face coverings for all employees and strongly recommend face coverings for all guests in areas with substantial or high risk of transmission. Home Depot: Requires all associates, contractors and vendors to wear a mask while indoors at all U.S. Home Depot stores, distribution centers, office locations and customers' homes or businesses, regardless of vaccination status. Customers are asked to wear masks while in stores and masks will be offered to those who don't have one. Starbucks: Strongly recommends customers wear face masks. McDonald's: Masks required for customers and employees at all U.S. restaurants in areas with high or substantial transmission regardless of whether or not they are vaccinated.
