NORTHFIELD, MN — Fully vaccinated people will not have to quarantine even if they are exposed to a positive COVID-19 case, Northfield Public Schools announced.
"The most effective tool we have against the pandemic is vaccination," the district in a statement on July 30.
"The district maintains a vaccination opportunities page as a resource to families. We strongly encourage families to have their eligible children vaccinated prior to the start of school."
The first day of school for most students in Northfield is Sept. 9. The district will offer a fully in-person schedule for all schools and grades as well as an online-only option for families who want it.
The district said it will finalize all other protocols for the school year by Aug. 10.
