Small Engine Mechanic - $20-$26/hr Depending on Experience

Description

The small engine mechanic reports to the True Organic/Warehouse Division Manager and is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, organization, including inventory, and cleanliness of the equipment which keeps our business operational and effective. Additionally, they are responsible for fulfilling repair requests from the management team and out in the field from our service technicians who are located throughout the Central Maryland region and Northern Virginia daily. Experience with regular fleet maintenance is also a plus. -Maintain and repair lawn care and pest control equipment including, but not limited to, Stihl Mister Blowers, Stihl Blowers, Split drive aerators, Z-plug Aerators, P530 Piston Pumps, Hannay and Cox Reels, Push Spreaders, Ride-on Spreaders, Slit Seeders and other two and four stroke small engines. -Maintain equipment inventory and repair and/or maintenance records. -Respond to emergency equipment failures in the field. -Communicate with field technicians and division managers on repair orders and progress. -Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems. -Replace/repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts. -Clean equipment, parts, or tools to repair or maintain them in good working order. -Service vehicles to maintain functionality and, as necessary perform small vehicle repairs. -Maintain a safe, clean and organized workspace. -Other duties as assigned by management. Requirements -HS Diploma/GED -Candidates must provide their own tools -At least 3-5 years of relevant experience -Valid Driver's License -Proven ability in small engine repair and maintenance. -Proven ability to assess and identify vehicle failures and problems. -Highly organized with keen attention to detail. -Able to safely transport small equipment on a utility trailer - DOT certification a plus If interested, please visit
