ROSWELL, GA — The City of Roswell has made changes to the Roswell Recycling Center, with new hours of operations and new paint recycling. It is also changing fees for some curbside and commercial garbage pickup items. The mayor and city council approved the changes in April. The Roswell Recycling Center, Maxwell Road, has now implemented the following changes: Facility Hours: Tuesday–Saturday from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.Paint Charge: A $3 per container of liquid latex or liquid oil-based paint. All smaller containers will be charged the same rate. A $15 fee will be charged for 5-gallon containers. Learn more in this video."While You Wait" paper shredding: Tuesdays-Fridays from 2-4 p.m. Residents may still drop off paper for shredding anytime during operational hours. Paper dropped off will be held in a locked box until shredded at a later time.Closed to nonresidents until further notice. The Roswell Recycling Center offers many services to Roswell residents that go beyond typical municipal recycling programs. The center accepts everyday items such as plastic, paper, metal, and glass to less typical items including appliances, tires, batteries, cell phones, printer cartridges, electronics, televisions, vegetable oil, motor oil and antifreeze. Updated fees include: Large Item Collection: $30 per itemReplacement Container: $50 (containers that reach their useful lifespan are exempt)Extra commercial collection: $100 per collection New fees: Late container set out: $50 per pick up requestDumpster replacement: $150 (dumpsters that reach their useful lifespan are exempt)Inaccessible dumpster: $100Curbside yard waste collection is limited to two cubic yards at a time. $75 for every additional five cubic yards will be enforced.
