A General Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks needed to complete a construction project. The various tasks include cleaning, loading, and unloading materials, operating equipment, and other necessary tasks as assigned. General Laborers will ensure a clean, safe, and efficient construction site while also supporting the overall project. Duties and Responsibilities • Follow all safety rules and Federal, State, local, and client regulations as well as implement company safety program to maintain a safe environment. • Clean, sweep and prepare construction sites by removing debris and garbage. • Load and unload building materials. • Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures. • Digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes. • Operate machinery and construction equipment. • Utilize common and specialized tools and equipment to complete assigned tasks. • Miscellaneous site-wide tasks as needed. • Prepare site for specified work. • Assisting trades people in their duties. • Preforms other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business. • Access to personally owned tools including impact gun, tool belt, hammer, tape measure, speed square, chalk line.
