Description
The Carpentry Technician performs skilled tasks on commercial and residential construction projects. The Carpentry Technician is responsible for performing interior and exterior installations while safety operating a variety of small and large power tools.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Follow all safety rules and Federal, State, local, and client regulations as well as implement company safety program to maintain a safe environment.
• Read and interpret blueprint drawings, specifications to prepare layout and determine materials required.
• Inspect a work site to determine adherence to standards.
• Install, replace, and repair wall boards, sheet rock, weather stripping, base boards, insulation, waterproofing materials, and suspended ceilings.
• Install roof shingles, decking, facia boards, flashing and roof paper.
• Build or repair cabinets, doors, windows, framework, floors, and other structures and fixtures.
• Fits and installs windows, door frames and slabs, door hardware, interior and exterior trim.
• Installs foundations, floors, walls, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as wood, steel, metal concrete, plastics, and composite materials.
• Operate a variety of small and large power tools, motorized equipment, and basic construction hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Interact and communicate with management, subcontractors, and other crew members in a professional manner.
• Clean up worksite debris.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business
