INHUMANE TREATMENT OF JUVENILES IN GA

In Georgia the Juvenile justice center swears to rehabilitate youth instead they treat them like animals. They are living in disgust. The Metro Detention center on Constitution Blvd should have been shut down in the 90's but it still stands. There have been several cases of teen suicide due to the solitary confinement they impose on the youth. They generally come out of their rooms 2-3 times a day unless they are going to school. In which they only attend school around 3 hours a day and they are learning 6th grade material in high school They don't receive the programs they are allotted nor the recreation time. They are children yet they are not allowed commissary or mail while adult inmates receive tablets. The youth have reported scorching hot showers with no way to adjust the temperature, no hot water in their room sinks, guards sleeping with teens and providing them with drugs.
