SeeScan is looking for an experienced and reliable mason to help us improve our campus facilities with new structures, walls, and walkways. We are looking for someone who has excellent craftsmanship skills, a good eye for detail, and the physical strength needed to work on construction sites. In this position, you will • Perform general masonry work to maintain and construct various structures around our campus • Cut and shape stones and pavers to desired dimensions • Install pavers • Pour and finish concrete • Erect and set forms • Mix grout and cement • Replace defective or missing stones on walls and structures • Set grade using a laser level About you • Enjoy working with your hands • Physically strong, able to manipulate heavy objects and lift at least 50 lbs • Capable of working outdoors and in noisy areas for extended periods of time • Willing and able to do a full day’s work in all weather conditions Desired skills and experience • Demonstrated ability to visualize and create aesthetic patterns into a construction design • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints • Know how to safely and efficiently use power and gas tools (rototillers, trench diggers, cement mixers, gas powered saws, brick saw) • Knowledge of various materials and construction equipment, and ability to determine what is needed for a project • 3+ years of experience in construction or masonry work desired, not required • High school diploma or GED About SeeScan Modern life depends on the infrastructure that brings water, electricity, gas, and communications to our homes and businesses.
