Our farm produces premium California rice varieties and permanent tree crops including almonds, pecans, and walnuts. JOB TITLE: Scale Operator Shift: Seasonal/Temporary Key Responsibilities: We are seeking a qualified, motivated individual to work our seasonal/temporary position as a Scale Operator. As part of our team, you use a digital scale to weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles, logging information relevant to each truck, including vehicle number, time, and moisture content of the rice it is hauling. You accurately record this data for crop yield calculations and managerial tracking. The scale operator is also responsible for measuring the moisture content of rice samples taken from each trailer and accurately recording them. This position requires moderate computer proficiency, and our ideal candidate has prior experience with trucking, and a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Responsibilities: • Record the weights of incoming and outgoing vehicles by hand on a chart • Measure, record and communicate the moisture of rice coming in from the field • Maintain a safe, organized working environment Qualifications: • A high school diploma or GED certificate preferred • Moderate computer proficiency • Experience in trucking or in an industrial yard environment • Basic math skills Non-Essential Responsibilities: • Other duties as assigned by management Click on the link to apply:
