Sam's Green Paw is looking for an energetic DOG LOVER to join our daycare team!!! Under the direction of the Daycare Manager of Sam’s Green Paw, the employee assigned to the position identified above serves as an attendant for dogs in the daycare/boarding area. Duties and responsibilities include the following: Ensure all dogs are fed and medicated properly as designated on boarding sheet. Ensure every dog in your care has a collar with a clear name tag at the beginning of each shift. Check the roll call, and immediately report to the manager any dogs that aren’t listed. Monitor the general health of all dogs.If a dog appears unhealthy (vomiting, diarrhea, lethargic), injured (limping, has scratches, puncture wounds, etc.), not eating, seems depressed or over anxious, having difficulty moving around, or has any other possible health concern, notify the manager immediately. Be aware of all special needs dogs and follow established procedures for communicating special needs to support staff and other appropriate staff members. Play with dogs as much as possible. Set up daycare/boarding area with beds, chairs blankets, pillows, etc., so that it appears homey and appealing. Keep area clean and neat the entire shift. Keep water bowls clean and filled with fresh water at all times. Maintain clean, dry, sanitized floors in the daycare/boarding area. Maintain clean mops throughout the shift. Maintain clean windows and glass on doors in daycare/boarding area. Maintain clean kennels, walls, and fences throughout shift. Maintain supplies and notify manager immediately when supplies are running low. At all times, follow safety procedures to ensure the safety of the dogs. Come to work in proper and safe attire, which includes long pants, Company shirt, and closed-toe shoes. Requirements Be confident in handling and caring for dogs. Adhere to all policies and procedures established by the Company. Act in an ethical, honest, and professional manner.
