See our video: We are currently hiring for Direct Support Professionals-Area Relief in Lane County. A primary purpose of the DSP-AR is to assist people who need support to lead self-directed lives and to participate fully in our communities and nation. The DSP-AR is generally utilized when there are long term openings or there is a need for additional staff. It is the role of the DSP-AR to provide a feeling of reassurance, stability, and support to the team members and people supported. They are role models, mentors, and ambassadors to the team members they work with and people they support. We have two different levels AR I and AR II: AR I - Generally, the team member will be scheduled to fulfill these hours in the area they are assigned. In the event that they are not needed in their area, they may be assigned to fulfill shifts in other areas. There may be occasional emergencies where an Area Relief is needed outside of their home area. This may happen more frequently if there are not enough AR IIs available for the needs outside of their assigned area. Current Wage - AR I: Starting $18.50/hr 6 Month Wage $19/hr 1 Year Wage $20/hr Wage of $23/hr AR II - Frequent travel and work assignments expected throughout the state. Development, welcoming people to their new home, training team members when opening a new home, and any related support needed. As needed, On-Call will occur outside of the home area. Must be eligible to drive agency vehicles. You Must (requirements): Be at least 18 years old. Must have a minimum of 6 months of direct care experience. Pass a pre-employment drug test for the use of illegal drugs. Pass a state/federal criminal history check.( Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 50lbs. Be able to be certified with/Individual Focus certificate in Oregon Intervention System. Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.( ) Be able to attend a two week orientation located in Monmouth (M-F, generally 8AM-5PM), however we may be flexible with prior communication. Be a positive, helpful, thoughtful team player. This includes all team members that you work with when on shift. Work a flexible schedule as assigned (be able to work with anyone PCL supports in your base area or as requested), complete any required training 35 - 40 hours/week with a varied schedule as needed by the openings within the area. The team member will be on-call for generally one (1) workweek every five (5) weeks (some areas are 6 or 7 weeks). During this week, they will only be scheduled to work approximately 20 hours and will be required to fill in the remaining hours as needed by the supervisor on-call. The ability to honor the team members preferred days off will be diminished during this week. The team member will be expected, and may be required, to work up to approximately 20 hours of overtime during their on-call week as needed.
