Getting a dog or pet for entertainment and now dumping them at shelters because you're "going back to work" or whatever reason you tell yourself. The shelters are all FULL - the poor staff who works so hard to NOT euthanize any sweet friendly dog or cat are in an awful position of deciding which trusting animal to put down because YOU wanted entertainment and didn't look past the moment. You had no emotional bond with the pet so it's easy to just dump it. WAY TO GO.... .
