1454 Main St, West Warwick RI

Description

Let us celebrate the end of summer by painting van Gogh’s famous sunflowers. The sunflower paintings had a special significance for Van Gogh: they communicated ‘gratitude’; He hung the first two in the room of his friend, the painter Paul Gauguin, who came to live with him for a while at the Yellow House in Southern France. I will walk you through the steps from start to finish. No experience necessary, but all levels are welcome. As well as providing all of the necessary materials and encouragement, 2 glasses of wine per person will be served. But feel free to bring a different beverage of your choice. Just be responsible. I have been making art for over 15 years. My main medium is collage and assemblage, However for the last several years, I have been painting and drawing. I hold an AFA in fine arts from CCRI, as well as attending UMass Dartmouth, Lesley University and RISD continuing ed. My studio is located in the Agawam Mills, West Warick. The event will be held Sept 4th. From 6:30 to 9:00 Cost is 35.00 per person.
