The Republican party has repeatedly attacked the lower and middle class and given huge tax cuts to the top 1% along with even bigger tax subsidies (welfare) to the largest corporations. The con of trickle down economics has always been that giving the ultra-rich even more money means at least some of the money would be turned into jobs. THAT IS A LIE AND THERE ARE NO STUDIES THAT HAVE EVER SHOWN THAT TO BE THE CASE. https://www.epi.org/publication/ceo-compensation-2018/ More than 95% of the money has always gone into the pockets of the wealthy in return for what the GOP wants which is campaign contributions to keep the fraud going.
