Progressive rock band seeks drummer

Description

Austin-based progressive rock band, The Aaron Clift Experiment, is seeking a drummer. Our music has been greeted with international acclaim and has brought us multiple features in Prog Magazine as well as performance slots in the major North American prog festivals, RosFest (2017), Progtoberfest (2018), and Progstock (2020 virtual festival). We’ve released 3 albums and are currently arranging the music for our 4th album, which we hope to record in late 2021 and release in summer 2022. You should be passionate about progressive rock and listen to current and classic bands in the genre. Our influences include: Rush, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Opeth, and Porcupine Tree. Please be able to rehearse with us in person once a week in north central Austin (all of us in the band are vaccinated, and you should be, too) and ready to record with us in the studio in south Austin later this year. We’re not focused on live performances at the moment but plan to resume them next year with 1 – 2 local shows per month, livestreams, and the occasional out-of-town Texas show. You should have pro gear, great musicianship, and ability to perform in a variety of styles (our music covers everything from pop to hard rock to jazz fusion). An easy-going, pro attitude and interest in having fun is also a must. Our ages range from 20's - 50's, but your age doesn't matter if you fit what we're looking for. This is not a fill-in/hired gun position: the ideal person for The Aaron Clift Experiment would join because they love progressive rock and is looking to become a permanent member of an all-original prog band. Listen to our music at www.aaronclift.com. If interested, please email us with a link to a video or audio of your playing.
