Inventory Specialist position summary: The Inventory Specialist is primarily responsible for stocking, inventorying and replenishing supplies to user areas and maintains the Pump Depot for the Elliot Hospital. Key Responsibilities: • Inventories par level carts using an automated handheld device, picks and delivers needed supplies in an accurate and timely manner. • Delivers all incoming goods to user departments obtaining a signature when required. • Delivers, collects and stores oxygen tanks according to policy. • Performs all functions of the Pump Depot to include delivering, retrieving and data entry for all requests. • Participates in all cycle counts and in year-end inventory. • Performs data entry, is able to comprehend how data entered and received relates to other files and fields within the automated Materials Management computer system. • Installs basic traction, cradles, bed boards and good boards in inpatient areas as needed. Qualifications include: • Education: High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred. • Experience: Previous hospital or inventory experience preferred.
