Lost meter in black holster

My husband lost his work meter in the Skokie and Evanston vicinity. He thinks it may have been close to the public library or Northwestern campus, or further Southwest. It is in a large black holster with hooks. He says it almost looks like a bomb in a purse because it has wires coming out of it. It is a meter to check signals. It cannot be used for any other purpose other than for Comcast and would be useless for any other purpose. If you or someone you know has come across this meter, please let us know. He seems to think it may have fallen out of his bucket after maintenance somewhere between Skokie and Evanston. Please let us know if you come across it.
