Sweet Lab mix needs kids

This guy is super sweet and good natured. Laid back but will run around neighborhood if he gets out. I got him from a family that took him in as a stray and they couldn't keep him. Since I got him he seems to have gotten depressed. I've adopted a lot of dogs and have fostered and I've never had a dog who was not happier when I got them so I am guessing he misses the kids where he came from. They had him jumping up to sit with them in a chair and walking him around on his leash, trying to pick him up etc and he was happy go lucky and gentle. He does need neutered and I want to know that you can get that done. We don't have kids and I truely believe he is missing the kiddos. House trained, crate trained, listens well. He is yellow lab but he is smaller maybe 50-60#. I don't know his age, I would have to guess close to 2. Perfect kids dog. Not sure how he is with little ones. The kids I seen interacting with him were between 7 and 12. I believe he would be fine with smaller kids I just don't want to say for sure. He has a gentle nature. I've had him a week and he just got sad. Let me know what kind of home you can give him. Rehoming fee very reasonable and negotiable.
