Description

Carpenter should show the willingness to lead while still being eager to learn and follow direction. This position should consistently complete assigned tasks with quality and timeliness, while adhering to safety guidelines and encouraging others to work as a team. Primary Responsibilities: Handle materials on site as needed Follow direction of carpenters and other crew members Clean up waste from project progress daily Follow safety policies and procedures Work unsupervised on assigned tasks Compete assigned tasks with quality and timeliness Direct Assistants and other crew members Provide accurate lists of materials required for projects Communicate any project issues to the Construction Manager Work with the Construction Manager to determine the best methods and processes for completing assigned tasks Maintain, care for, and transport company tools Consistently maintain a good work ethic, attitude, and be eager to learn Follow safety policies and procedures, maintain a safe working environment for the crew Required Skills and Abilities: • Knowledge of basic home building skills • Knowledge of the mission, vision, and values of our company • Arrive consistently on time • Work as part of a team • Follow directions • Willingness to learn and build upon existing carpentry skills • Good knowledge of overall home building skills • Work on ladders, scaffolding, roofs, etc. at varying heights • Good understanding of quality trim carpentry practices • Continue to develop knowledge of customer service and time management • Show leadership qualities while continuing to learn new skills • Able to do physically demanding work, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in all seasons Must be able to provide own transportation.
