POSITION:Janitorial SCHEDULE: varies STATUS: part time REPORTS TO: Director CONTACT: [email protected] for more information or to apply. Summary: Janitorial position serves as part of a professional cleaning team fulfilling cleaning services within designated areas of a retail facility. Janitorial position fulfilling cleaning services with designated areas of an office building/plant. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: • Cleaning of all required areas, floor care (hard surface, carpets and mats), restrooms, window cleaning, high and low dusting, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, interior and exterior garbage can change outs, interior and exterior trash and debris collection. • Report all work related accidents and incidents immediately to Janitorial Supervisor. • Maintain equipment in good working condition or report damaged equipment to Housekeeping Lead. • Empty and sanitize common area trash and receptacles. • Operation of vacuum. • Attend staff meetings, in-service training and other company sponsored events as requested. • Report all housekeeping and maintenance concerns to Housekeeping Lead or Maintenance Tech. • Report all chemical and consumables use to Housekeeping Lead as directed. • Ability to communicate with customers, employees and visitors for routine housekeeping concerns. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds. • Ability to stand for long periods and walk long distances during scheduled shifts. • Ability to work with chemicals and cleaning products. • Ability to operate other service equipment. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to speak, read and write in English. • Ability to operate a smart phone. • Have reliable transportation to and from work location. • Adherence to all company safety programs and policies • Must be able to pass a background check WHO WE ARE: Armored Cleaning Solutions is a rapidly growing company excelling in a wide variety of building cleaning and maintenance services. JOB SUMMARY Responsible for cleaning buildings per established list of tasks, checklists or supervisor instruction. Primary responsibilities and duties of the job: • Sweep and mop floors. • Vacuum carpets. • Emptying trash, replacing liners. • Emptying recycling into correctly identified receptacles. • Use eco-friendly cleaning products to remove stains and clean surfaces. • Mix various cleaning products per instructions and training. • Clean windows using spot cleaning techniques or squeegee. • Dust furniture. • Clean and stock restrooms. • Keep janitor closet organized and tidy. Some of the requirements of this position are as follows. • Must have adequate transportation to the job location. • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs • Must be self-aware of surroundings due to safety concerns based on the location. • Must be physically fit to stand for longer periods. • Must be efficient, have attention to detail and work with autonomy when supervision is not present. • Must be a good communicator with other team members and take direction from supervisors.
