To all the ppl giving away small pets pls read

A female I know browses here for pets for her kids. She recently got two guinea pigs. Her six-year-old son was allowed to do whatever he wanted with them. The other day he thought throwing one from the top bunk of bunk beds would be fun. The first throw it was bleeding at the mouth, the third crushed its spine. She plans to do NOTHING to the child for this. There are places that take small pets all over San Diego so why here??
