This is your opportunity to join our County team! The County Solid Waste Division is hiring to fill multiple FULL and PART TIME positions - Recovery Workers AND Senior Recovery Workers! Compensation includes hourly pay--and a generous benefits package (medical, dental, vision) and county pension benefits! Solid Waste Recovery Workers assist in loading transfer trucks, sort metal from other refuse at transfer stations, recovery facilities, and sanitary landfills. The Senior Solid Waste Recovery Workers are primarily responsible for operating equipment at these sites, including wheel loaders, backhoes and other light/heavy equipment. Solid Waste is a 7 day a week operation, with varying hours from 6:00am to 4:30pm. Recovery Workers operate in open and closed landfill locations and materials facilities.
