Normal workweek for filling most orders is from Sunday through Thursday. We have other shifts covering different days and times. Shifts may require overtime hours to finish all assigned duties and complete the shift. Responsibilities • Using automated warehouse management picking systems, these individuals pick various food items by individual units and completes orders for machines and specific accounts. • Fills snack totes and beverage shells based on instructions from various computerized systems. • Selects the exact amount of each product needed per computerized orders or manual pick sheets, which can be picked from racks, storage areas, coolers, and/or freezers. • A high degree of accuracy is required when picking items to fill each order. • Prepares snack totes and beverage shells for safe transporting to the loading dock using a pallet jack. • Frequently asked to load totes and cases safely on route truck vehicles. • Restocks items to picking areas from warehouse receiving areas by using pallet jacks or various types of carts. Environment • While performing normal duties the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts (forklift, pallet jacks). • The employee occasionally works in high-traffic places and around several vehicles; employee may be exposed to exhaust fumes from trucks and/or fork lifts. • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to noisy. • Some parts of the warehouse are refrigerated while some parts of the warehouse are not temperature controlled. Qualifications • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. • The employee is usually required to walk, sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and/or hear instructions. • Experience operating a forklift is beneficial but not required.
