This is a unique project, perfect for the older musician who would like to get out and play for the sheer love of it. We are working on setting up a house band in our fraternal club. The idea is to practice once a week or so, working toward doing an open to the public gig in our club one Saturday a month, maybe more often if it hits. The club is a not for profit and supports a great charitable mission, so the members are all volunteer, but if a gig opportunity comes up, we as a band could decide to take advantage of it.
Presently we are in need of a bass player and and a fiddle or steel guitar player. If you play an instrument that might add to the sound, please get in touch. You don't have to be a pro, even if you have never played out, give it a shot if this interests you and you are willing to dedicate the time to the project. It's all about the music, but also having fun while supporting our cause.
