Primatones Community Venue is proud to present an evening of music not to be missed with Free Creatures, Unkle Nancy and Christopher Worth! This is a family friendly event and minors will be allowed until 10pm. Our stage, dance floor and bar are all indoors, but we'll have an outdoor area for with a fire pit, seating and social area. Our bar will be open with a broad menu of local brews, cider and kombucha on tap. We have wine and non alcohol beverages available too. We'll have a basic food menu in our venue and we're working on having a taco truck on premises too (I'll confirm that soon). Word has it that we'll have a late night firedance performance outside of the venue as well:) Tickets are available for pre purchase and we highly recommend picking one up asap as this show might sell out! $20 per ticket. Doors open at 7pm. Music starts at 8pm-close. Minors allowed until 10pm, after that its strictly 21 and over. Artist bio's: Free Creatures graced our stage just before our venue expansion, and we cant wait to have them back with their smooth, thumpin’ upright bass, vibrant psychedelic electric guitar, heavily danceable Hip Hop beats with vintage jazz samples, uplifting and intelligent lyrics, all driven by beautiful vocals and harmonies. Unkle Nancy (Joey Helpish) is a well known and loved local legend in the music scene and we're thrilled to have him back to give his hometown a dose of his signature sound and song writing. Unkle nancy and the Family Jewels album: "The gypsy, Pirate blues" is an all time played album in our household and we cant wait to hear what he has up his sleeve for this show. And we're very excited to have Portland based singer song writer, Christopher Worth join the evening line up too! "The first thing you notice when listening to Christopher Worth is the undeniable quality of his voice: it is thick, sensual, raw, and honest. At times he expresses with the buttery richness of John Legend (“I Need You,” “Tides”); at others with the feral range and force of Paul McCartney (“Care”, “Bayou”). There are delicate moments, too, in which his singing is reminiscent of Amos Lee (“Glory”) and even D’Angelo (“Lo and Behold”). At it’s core, however, his voice is steeped in the spirit of the blues."-CSL Portland. Its going to be an unforgettable night, hope to see you there!
