Description
Lane County Diaper Bank and Oregon Axe Throwing are teaming up, to bring a night of fun and fundraising! Lane County Diaper Bank is a newly formed 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization whose mission is to provide hope through our free diaper partnership program for low-income families. The evening will include a half hour practice time with an axe coach who will teach you everything you need to know about throwing axes. The next hour is games that everyone will get to play! There will also be time where you may enjoy drinks and appetizers, while you bid on our fabulous silent auction items. Tickets for this event will be $35 per person, advance tickets only (no ticket sales at door) Since our launch in June 2019, we have collected over 20000 diapers and given 18500 diapers to families in need. We have set up over 7 partners for diaper collection sites including; Damon Burian Farmer Insurance Agent, McKenzie Pediatric, and Department of Human Services to name a few. We launched a distribution partnership in October 2019, with Lane County Public Health (Women Infant & Children division) who serve approximately 1300 low-income mothers and children monthly. We recently partnered with First Place Family Center in December 2019, who serves low-income, homeless, families with children under 18, day services and night shelter. RULES* "All you need to bring in your good attitude. We do have two requirements for your clothing: -Closed toed shoes ONLY! Funds raised will go to purchasing diapers, raising awareness about the diaper need in our community, and our storage facility fees
