Description

Join us at this evening walk to learn about the Clear Creek ecosystem and try to spot some of the wildlife that calls this place home. Kitsap County's Stormwater Division invites you to join us at the Clear Creek Trail on Thursday, September 9 from 6:45 - 8:15 p.m. to learn about the ecosystem and beavers...their life cycle, habits, the benefits they provide and challenges they create. We will meet at the Silverdale Rotary Gateway Park/Dog Park just as the sun is setting to maximize our chances of spotting a beaver. This event will be held rain or shine. Expect to walk approximately 1-2 miles. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate to the weather. Bring binoculars (or night vision goggles if you have them!), a flashlight, and a portable chair if desired. Please leave your four-legged friends at home so we don't scare the wildlife. Space is limited to 20 participants. Questions? Contact Pat Kirschbaum at [email protected] or Kitsap1 at 360.337.5777. Kitsap County Public Works Department makes our communities better and safer places to live, work, and play. Need help? Call Kitsap1 at 360.337.5777.
