I’m curious, if you did meet up with this person, what would you say to them that would give you the resolution you crave. This sounds like someone from my past, as I’m sure many of us have been here. It also sounds likely that you’re missing the thought of the person more than the actual person. Being with someone loyalheartedly and waking up to them is indeed a beautiful thing. I’m wondering why you’re not able to write them a letter in order to let go? Maybe don’t even send it, just burn it, Letting go is not the worst thing in the world. It’s transformative to start anew. It heals us to learn how to love. We can’t contain love, only let it pass through and transform us, hoping that surrendering to the process of loving - it burns as long as it can. Hugs.
