The Yard Handler plays a vital role in managing each repossessed vehicle and coordinating the handling of property for our clients, debtors, and transport companies. The Yard Handler position plays a powerful part is coordinating among the various departments in the company. Here is a brief outline of the job responsibilities you will have. 1. Removing and logging all personal property items from the vehicle 2. Performing a condition report and taking detailed photos on all vehicles that are repossessed 3. Releasing a high volume of vehicles to customers and transport companies 4. Maintaining yard cleanliness and safety in a warehouse 5. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 1. High school diploma with a continuous record of learning WORK EXPERIENCE 1. Proven ability and experience working in an outside environment at least 50% of the time without direct supervision 2. Previous experience in driving a tow truck is a big plus. ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE 1. Reliable, good work ethic, high integrity, and drug free (abuse of illegal and legal drugs) 2. Clean, presentable appearance 3. Able to read, write and speak English with reasonable capability to communicate with customers, employees, and vendors. 4. Meet the attendance schedule as agreed upon with your supervisor 5. Minimum of 21 years of age 6. Be able to lift 50 lbs. to your waist 7. Warehouse experience 8. Phone, written and verbal skills a must 9. Have knowledge of autos, boats, trailers and other types of equipment 10.
