A symposium on biblical archaeology, featuring archaeologist Dr. John Melacon, Antiquities Encounter Museum & Avi Lipkin, Israeli author Bringing the Bible to life through the art and science of biblical archaeology at The Antiquities Encounter Museum, Henderson Texas Dr. Melancon, archaeologist, biblical scholar and professor, will lead a private tour of the museum at 12 noon for the first 25 to register. The main event starts at 1:30 and will show examples of archaeological items from the holy land and beyond covering several millennia. He will explain how the Items and stories recorded in the Bible are confirmed in the archaeological records undercovered through archaeological excavation. Ari Lipkin, and international speaker to over 1000 churches, author of six books, Israeli politician, and leader of the Bible Bloc Party advocating for representation in the Israeli Knesset, (Parliament). This is a unique opportunity for Christians, Hebraic and Jewish believers to deeper their faith by understanding the importance of biblical archaeology and how the Bible is re-affirmed by discoveries of archaeology. And example is a toe lamp among the collection that is an example of how the bible comes to life when you walk through the land of the Bible or look at an item described in the Bible. Another fascinating item are two sling stones discovered in the valley of Elah where young David gathered five smooth stones that he placed in a pouch to sling at Goliath. Mediterranean style refreshments will also be there for sampling. There is no cost for the event — a love offering will be taken up to offset Mr. Lipkin’s travel expenses on his Texas tour.
