Night Owls Company Description: Night Owls is a full service merchandise logistics company based in Houston, TX. While we offer high end screen printed apparel, promotional products, and fulfillment services, we really pride ourselves most on crafting unique merchandise that builds a lasting connection and fosters community between our customers and their fans. Our screen printing department is growing, and we are searching for the perfect fit to help bring our high end products to our customers. We are looking for some additional support, to help make our manufacturing process even smoother. This job would be ideal for someone who: -Likes working with their hands -Doesn’t mind getting dirty -Likes problem solving -Likes working towards a goal -Likes working by themselves -Able to read and follow instructions Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, and basic tools and appliances. To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills. For this position, you’ll have two main responsibilities: Screen Reclaim Our screen reclaim position entails all aspects of the reclamation process. You'd be responsible for following the protocol to properly strip screens, so that they can reach the next step of the manufacturing process. You'd be working by yourself, in a loop environment, using a pressure washer, and some (SAFE) chemicals. Typically this is 3-4 hours of your day. Equipment Maintenance We work with several industrial machines, and you’d be responsible for the preventative maintenance, according to the manufacturer maintenance schedule. Some of these tasks are daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. This position will also require you to perform general maintenance around the facility (equipment and building). Those are the main duties of the job, but there is always room for growth here. Whether it be helping in our Finishing Department, or Fulfillment Department, or even cleaning up around the shop - extra effort is noticed and rewarded here. Job Requirements: Applicant must have a STRONG attention to detail. Applicant must be able to read, write, and follow instructions in English. Applicant must be able to communicate effectively with fellow team mates. Applicant must be able to stand for 6-8 hours a day. Applicant must be able to withstand hot and humid warehouse. Applicant must be able to lift 30-50lbs throughout the shift. Applicants that can speak both English and Spanish are preferred. Forklift certified applicants are preferred. This job takes place in a hot and humid environment ~ 90 to 100°F. Pay: Job starts at $20/hr depending on experience. This is a full time position, with overtime pay, and plenty of opportunities to work extra. This position does come with full benefits, if you meet the requirements.
