A 3rd Friday Art & Business Walk implementation series in historic Hayti, featuring the Slow Art Tour with Craig Cutright & Whitney Stanley. Arts. Equitable Engagement. Food Truck. Live + Love Music for the People. Be Connected Durham presents the Fayetteville Street Corridor Fellows Equitable Community Engagement Series: LIVE From The FSC, a 3rd Friday Art & Business Walk. On August 20, 2021 from 6 pm - 9 pm, join us for engagement around Black August, Equity, and other important issues impacting the residents in our community. This event series is about both community capacity-building and celebration. Village of Wisdom's Black Genius Classroom will remain a fixture at the Hayti Heritage Center location, providing youth activities and guidance to our community, based in Black Parent Research trials. We are collecting school supplies for middle grade students in collaboration with Duke Energy's Day of Champions on August 28, 2021. Through our EQUITY REMOVES BARRIERS (ERB) initiative, we offer vendor space and food truck registration at no cost. This event is free and open to the public. COVID Safety Regulations are in full effect. Masks are required when entering the facilities at the Hayti Heritage Center. Be Connected, a community initiative connecting audiences, addressing disparities, fostering equity, and bridging understanding through the arts, culture, music, & politics.
